Drone with Paintball Marker
While the guys in the above video are... off, what's been accomplished here is pretty cool. I had thought that a drone capable of effectively firing paintballs using easily commercially available materials would not be around for a while, but this is capable of just that. In fact, in the video you can see the drone mark a target successfully on a flyby. I'm sure this is titillating to anyone interested in paintball and drones (i.e. everyone cool), and won't be the last time we'll see such a set-up. Anyone up for a build collaboration?

RAP4 468 in Free Fall
A cool promotional video, but it would have been awesome to see it firing after the jumper landed. Got me thinking about how awesome paintball would be in space. Beyond the whole Ender's Game dynamics, would be really fun having a marker that shot straight for once.
More Boat, More Fun
Anyone who's seen naval boarding/clearing action videos on Youtube or elsewhere has surely thought of paintballing in such a cool environment, these players from Ecuador are lucky enough to have access to said environment. Check it out:
Video only slightly marred by dubstep overkill. I did quite enjoy the sampling from The Warriors though.

Dye Dam - Dye's Magazine Fed Marker
Yeah yeah, I've been AWOL, but I've got some time this weekend, so time to catch up on some milsim news!
Dye (among others) has announced their foray into the magazine fed paintball market as of last week, with the Dye Assault Matrix (or DAM for short, as in DAM that marker's ugly).

Full Auto First Strike and MKP-II
RAP4 has released a new video (shown above) of two interesting things. First off, a USA built MKP kit will be released, called the MKP-II, which should be great for Americans wanting to buy quality domestic products, and Canadians wanting to keep their money on the continent, and secondly said kit firing a mag full of first strike rounds on full auto. Totally awesome, but I get the feeling players that can afford to consistently play like that will be showing up to the field in Bugatti Veyron.
Be sure to check out RAP4's Facebook Page for more updates, or as always you can Like Grey Ops on Facebook for the latest milsim news, videos etc.

RAP4 Videos - Patrick
Patrick, a relatively new face to RAP4, has been doing an amazing job with recent promotional videos for the brand. This combined with their better video quality means that their channel really deserves more attention than it's getting!
Here are a couple choice videos that have been released recently:
Keep up the great work Patrick! Now somebody just needs to update the aesthetic of the RAP4 main page!

Paintball on ATVs
Sigh, more dubstep. I suppose dubstep is the new Drowning Pool.
Given the proclivities of certain demographics, it really can't be argued that this is the first time people have played paintball on ATVs. However at ATV Games 4X4, renters and walk-ons can play land-based-chopper-door-gunner on the field. Talk about a great way to carve a niche amongst other vanilla paintball fields! If you're near Norman, Oklahoma I'd say it's definitely worth the trip!

RAP4 D-Day and D-Mag Update Video
Details to take away from the video:
- Operation End War (mag fed scenario) 2013 will take place on the Oklahoma D-Day field.
- RAP4 aims to have their 100 round drum magazine out by next year this time.
- RAP4 aims to have their D-Mags out by possibly August.
- D-Mag patent issues have been resolved.

Paintball Warfare
If there was ever to be a successful paintball "recruiting" video, this would be it. I absolutely love how much action the team on this video packed in (here's the page for the video), and unlike most cool paintball videos that would appeal to the mainstream, everyone's wearing what they should be. Before anyone says how dangerous this looks, it's not a dynamic environment, it's all choreographed. I don't think anyone in their right mind would allow for the possibility of a truck smushing a paintball player into oblivion by landing on him. A behind the scenes video for the shoot will be released tomorrow.

Blue Monkey Paintball S-RAV
While certainly not the first ones to create a paintball RC vehicle, the gents at Blue Monkey Paintball have created a nice polished little package called the S-RAV that they would appear to be selling (or selling in the near future).

CCM SR1 Update
CCM has uploaded a video preview of their SR1 platform, showing how individual shells can be loaded and extracted. Check it out:
CCM has stated that basically anything can fit inside the shells, including first strikes, regular paintballs, large nerf darts, and the the scenario dreams sniper rounds. Still no word on ETA, final pricing or other details, it still seems very much like a "it's done when it's done" project for CCM.
Love that sound.

Max Boom to be Produced by Lapco
Remember this? Well Weltman, the guy behind the Max Boom (literally and figuratively), has confirmed that Lapco will be manufacturing the Max Boom, with a release date sometime this fall. Apparently there was a Max Boom at PBE, but the only picture of it I've seen is on this Facebook wall. Better start saving up!

RAP4 Detailed Look at DMAGS
Interested parties should check out 4:27, where a U-shaped First Strike feed is used (Edit - the mag actually shown in the video uses smaller shells however). The feed is essentially a broken mobius strip, pretty damn cool really.

New Cam from Greg Hastings
Greg Hastings, who sometimes seems like he has his hands in everything paintball related, continues to expand his personal brand with the introduction of a new paintball video camera.
He states on Facebook that it's the size of an index finger. If it can pull off decent 1080p at that size, I'm sure it will be very popular with paintball players. No word yet on different mounts, but it also includes a patented "R7 paintball mount", whatever that is.
