Camouflage in Video Games: Battlefield 3's Pattern Options

A recent video leaked on to Youtube (presumably from one of those that received the game before they were supposed), and gives some insight into patterns used in Battlefield 3. Some are quite... interesting.

There's little doubt in my mind that that's SURPAT. Which I find odd, as I'm one of the few people on the internet that's written about it. Perhaps someone at DICE 3 is a camophile?

Black

Before choosing Black, perhaps you should read this.

Not 100% Sure

Both could be based off a couple things (blotty French Lizard or Flora?) or could be made up.

Walmart-style urban camo.

M-81 Woodland and Flora

Multicam and (Digital Tiger Stripe)

I'm 99% sure that's Multicam on the left... I wonder what Crye thinks about that.

Three Colour Desert and what looks like a darker Flora

Russians wearing Flecktarn? I laughed. Others will as well I'm sure.

MARPAT (Woodland) and Something that looks Pencottish (but I'm sure isn't Pencott) Russian Partizan M Summer

There are a couple of other vanilla colours featured, but I didn't include them.

So one would hope that EA GAMES obtained the rights to the copyrighted patterns used, and that would be truly awesome. However, I can't help but think that they perhaps took the easy road. Thoughts?
